Every parent wonders: "What is my baby trying to say?"
Two years is an awfully long time to wait for the answer!

Baby Signing is easy. What if your baby could tell you exactly what she's thinking? What if she could tell you that she's wet or hungry? Wouldn't it be wonderful to understand your baby's needs and for your baby to be understood?

It's possible, today, right now, with Baby Sign Language.

We know that babies actually understand much of what's being said to them. From the moment they are born, they try very hard to make themselves understood. It is not until much later though that they learn how to coordinate and control the fine muscles involved with speech. But here's something amazing: while speech is difficult, hand movements are easy, even for tiny babies. Those little fingers easily fold and unfold, grasp and wave, clench and waggle.

SignShine's Baby Sign Language classes help your baby or toddler use those natural hand movements to express actual words -- ball, mommy, airplane -- and even concepts -- hungry, help, more -- way before they are actually able to verbalize them. We will teach you how to teach American Sign Language to your baby by using simple, interactive tools such as books, games, songs, and rhymes. Picture of babies and parents signing at a SignShine classIn a matter of a few classes, you and your baby will quickly learn and begin using several simple, practical signs.

Uniquely at SignShine, you will also learn valuable parenting skills you can use every day as you nurture your baby's development. Using Baby Sign Language, you will build a stronger parent-child bond because your pre-verbal child will feel understood and valued. We also offer workshops specially designed for caregivers, teachers, educators and therapists.
